Global employment agency Adecco and the International Olympic Committee have partnered to expand the existing Adecco Athlete Career Program as a worldwide initiative with the aim to assist over 2000 athletes in 2005 and be available in over 50 countries by 2008.

The Adecco Group has a global commitment to the program in providing professional career development and employment services for elite athletes and offering employers the opportunity to benefit from the unique qualities that professional athletes bring to the work place.

The Adecco Athlete Career Program – developed with the Olympic movement - provides elite athletes with job placement, career counselling, transitional support, access to skills training and educational guidance.

The purpose of the program is to support the athlete’s integration into the workplace both during and after their sporting career without compromising the athletes sporting dreams.

As the global leader in human resources and employment services the Adecco Group of companies have access to the very latest information and trends directly impacting any profession, business or industry which the athlete may be interested in. The program is available to elite athletes across all sports where Adecco has an existing agreement with the relevant sporting organisation or federation.
